Quality and User Experience

• My years as QA had a formative impact on my skills and how I approach problem-solving, designing, and accessibility.
• QA is most effective when brought in at the earliest stages of a project. But QA is sometimes (read: often) tapped later, after important structural designs have been made.
• Anticipating how a system might work in the real world from the very beginning helps to focus on "quality" as an important outcome rather than a job role to be filled.
• Quality can instead function as a co-designing skillset.
